Rent a Number for Telegram
A number with monthly billing. You renew it while you need it and let it go once the job is done. It is a flexible alternative to buying — no big upfront payment.

An open-ended project
You do not know how long the task will last — a month or a year. A rental needs no upfront decision: you pay for exactly the time you use.

How a rental works and when it pays off
A rented number is full ownership with monthly billing. All SMS and calls arrive in your dashboard. Your Telegram account survives any logout, and renewal takes a couple of clicks. In effect, you get the same thing your own phone number gives you — but you pay in small portions.
Whether it pays off depends on how long you need the number. For anything up to a few months, renting is almost always cheaper. Beyond that, the math kicks in. Regular payments catch up with the one-time purchase price, and a permanent number becomes cheaper. It also removes the riskiest part of renting: a missed renewal. For short bursts of activity, see fixed-term numbers: the payments there are even smaller.
About late renewals, let us be clear. If the rental is not renewed, the number is deactivated and, after a quarantine, goes back into circulation. Open Telegram sessions will keep working, but no new code will reach this number. The renewal date is shown in your dashboard — do not leave it to the last minute.
Rent or buy for good
Both formats give you full control over the number. The difference is the payment model and the time horizon.
Rental
- A small payment up front — easy to try
- You pay only for the time you need the number
- Easy to scale: take five, keep two
- Ideal for tasks with an unclear timeline
Buying for good
- A sizable sum at once — you overpay if the task is short
- It only pays off over a year or more
- Overkill for trials and tests
- But no renewals — and nothing to miss
Prices by country
For a quick estimate, here are each country’s starting prices for one-time code reception. Monthly rental is priced separately — exact figures are in the catalog.
Catalog prices: registration number (SMS reception), billed monthly — updated automatically. One-off tasks are covered by disposable numbers — from $2.
Questions about renting numbers
I forgot to renew my rental — are the account and number gone?
The number, yes. After deactivation and quarantine it goes back into circulation, and you cannot get that exact one back. The account, not yet. It lives on in open sessions. If you quickly rent a new number and change it in Telegram settings, the profile is fully saved. But the best plan is a calendar reminder with the renewal date.
What is the minimum term, and can I stop after it?
The minimum is one month, with no further commitment. Renew for years if you like, or let the number go after the very first period. There are no penalties and no “automatic forever subscriptions”.
How much more does renting cost than buying over a year?
Over a year, the total of your renewals usually catches up with and then exceeds the one-time purchase price. After that, renting means overpaying. The rule is simple. If the term is unknown, rent. If you know you will always need the number, consider buying it for good — that also removes the risk of a missed renewal.
Can I rent a dozen numbers at once for a sales team?
Yes, there is no limit on quantity, and this is one of the main rental scenarios. The pool scales with your team. Hired people? Add numbers. Season over? Do not renew the extras. We put together bundles for volume — contact support with the quantity and countries.
Will strangers’ SMS or accounts show up on a rented number?
Before it is issued, the number goes through a quarantine that filters out other people’s confirmations. Rare leftovers from its past life are possible, such as a store newsletter. Just ignore them: they do not affect your account or chats. Someone else’s Telegram account cannot sit on a number issued to you.
How does renewal work technically?
In your dashboard, next to the number, you see the end date and a renewal button. Pay, and the term moves forward. Telegram does not notice anything: same number, same account, nothing to re-link.
How long does activation take after payment?
Usually up to 24 hours, and from 1 to 5 business days for some countries. You see the exact range for your country before you pay. That is longer than formats issued right away: rental numbers are prepared for long-term ownership.
Can I switch numbers without interrupting my account?
Yes. Rent a new number, then use “Change Number” in Telegram settings. The profile moves over with nothing lost, and you simply do not renew the old rental. At most, you lose the month when the two rentals overlap.
Does it receive calls too, or only SMS?
Both. Incoming SMS are shown in full in your dashboard, and calls are logged. Outgoing communication is not included — the number works for receiving. For Telegram and most tasks, that is enough.
What happens to my SMS history when the rental ends?
Access to the history is tied to an active number. So save everything important — codes, confirmations, service messages — before the term ends. After deactivation, the number and its inbox are closed to you.
